Spread the love

In a bid to spread the word and in particular, engender support for Cairns Amateurs and its community spirit, the region’s pinnacle social event has launched a new Local Ambassadors campaign in advance of this year’s spring racing carnival.

At a special cocktail party this week hosted by the Cairns Amateurs Committee at Ochre Restaurant, details of this year’s ANZ Cairns Amateurs Ball’s masquerade theme was revealed to guests who included the group of newly appointed Ambassadors.

In welcoming the Ambassadors on board, Cairns Amateurs Carnival social media professional, Lisa Monks said the Ambassadors had not been recruited to ‘sell’, but for their support and influence as active members of the community with a connection to fashion and racing.

Cairns Amateurs Carnival committee member, Kate McCreery-Carr said that this year was all about taking a fresh approach to doing things that would revitalize and enliven the marketing and events for a wide, all-ages appeal.
