Driven by the passion of using only the freshest seasonal ingredients, Chef Yohhei Sasaki of il Cielo rooftop Italian restaurant will be celebrating the start of the season with the curated Summer Opulence tasting menu that is available for a limited time only this May and June. Staying true to the restaurant’s ethos of elevating Italian gastronomy to its peak, diners can expect a sensorial culinary journey through handcrafted cuisine using refined Italian techniques perfected with Japanese precision.
The Summer Opulence menu represents Chef Sasaki’s expression of the season, showcasing a line-up of both Italian and Japanese specialties that incorporate in-season ingredients flown in from Italy and Japan. The menu spotlights premium ingredients, such as fresh snow crab from Hokkaido, Sicilian red prawns and three kinds of Sicilian tomatoes, Japanese eggplant and myoga (ginger flower). Before concluding the evening on a sweet note, diners will be pleasantly surprise with the unmissable Chef Sasaki’s signature specialty of aglio olio e pepperoncino that is only available on his seasonal menu series. The Summer Opulence menu ranges from four- to seven-courses, priced from $118 onwards.

il Cielo – A Modern Space for an Urban Cityscape
Set on the rooftop level 24 of Hilton Singapore, il Cielo, also translated as “The Sky,” restaurant can hold up to 48 people, with 32 indoor seats, including a private dining room for 10 guests and 16 semi-al fresco seats by the pool. With a panoramic view of Orchard Road skyline, the interiors and surroundings of the poolside provide an urban romantic resort feel.
The restaurant is represented with a contemporary geometrical trellis and sliding floor-to-ceiling glass panels which offer a sense of space, making way for a relaxing rooftop pool view. Within the restaurant interiors, the soft furnishings and wood floorings complement with the modern adornments and an iconic driftwood sculpture to accentuate space. At sundown, diners in the restaurant can experience a different alluring ambience as the versatile glass panels slide open for a semi-alfresco setting with the lighted pool area and modern cityscape of Orchard Road setting the stage for a captivating backdrop.
