Award-winning sister brands Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold along with the TreadRight Foundation have launched Global Volunteer Day to celebrate Earth Month, with team members around the world making a conscious effort to give back to their local communities.
Together with Insight and Luxury Gold’s existing partner, One Tree Planted, a leading not-for-profit organisation focused on global reforestation, some regional teams participated in a tree-planting day, while other teams engaged in other Earth Month activities including picking up litter and cleaning up shorelines.
In Australia, on 11th April, the Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold team completed tree planting and bush regeneration, where team members volunteered to work together in their local community. With 15 dedicated team members onboard the team successfully planted 330 trees in parkland.
As part of The Travel Corporation’s (TTC) family of brands, Insight Cares and Luxury Gold Cares are founding members of the TreadRight Foundation. These brands are aligned with TreadRight’s three key pillars as they share a collective desire to conserve and protect the planet, wildlife and people of the local communities visited through their immersive journeys. Along with One Tree Planted, Insight and Luxury Gold have committed to planting one tree in Tasmania for every Australian guest who chooses to receive their travel documents electronically (e-Documents).

“Prior to our Global Volunteer Day initiative, which marked Insight’s 41st anniversary, more than 40 acres of trees had been planted on behalf of Insight Vacations, Luxury Gold and our valued clients,” says Ulla Hefel Böhler, Global CEO of Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold. “Thanks to the sustainable choices made by our guests every day and the Global Volunteer Day efforts by our team members worldwide, an additional 10-plus acres of trees will be planted through the first quarter of 2019 alone.”
