Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) is today celebrating the accomplishments of its female leaders, employees, clients and trade partners – and the invaluable contribution they make to the company’s success – as part of its International Women’s Day festivities being staged at its regional headquarters in Sydney.

“The NCLH team are today proudly ablaze with purple – and sharing purple cupcakes – to celebrate all the amazing women in our organisation and industry, and to show our support for International Women’s Day’s 2019 #BalanceforBetter campaign, the aim of which is to forge the way for a more gender-balanced workplace and world,” said Mr Steve Odell, Senior Vice President and Managing Director Asia Pacific at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings.

“Since launching our local office in 2015, combining professional excellence and gender equality across NCLH’s regional leadership team has been a priority, with our eight-strong executive leadership group being made up of four women and four men, achieving our desired gender balance of 50/50.”

“Moving forward towards 2020 and beyond, continuing to develop initiatives, programmes and opportunities targeted at attracting, developing and retaining outstanding female talent remains a top priority, with 75% of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings’ employees across the local business being female. While our female employees would be the first to request we celebrate their successes based on results versus gender, which we do, International Women’s Day provides a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise all the talented women across our business who make an invaluable contribution to our success,” he said.
