Filled with display cases of captivating magical treasures, The Windsor’s Wizards Suite – created in collaboration with The Store of Requirement – opens today.
The suite, which has been entirely transformed, has been designed to teleport guests from the ordinary non-magic realm into a spell binding universe. Plush rugs and vintage luggage trunks and furniture fill the room, dotted with officially licensed merchandise from a certain magical universe. Wands, officially licensed artwork and other magical items – all available for purchase – lie gleaming in wait for the curious witch or wizard.
The Wizards Suite is presently the only one of its kind in Melbourne, and the sole chance for magical fans to live, sleep, and have a close encounter with these wondrous objects. As a heritage hotel, The Windsor, with its wide, richly-carpeted corridors, old lift grills, and grand staircase, makes an ideal backdrop for wizards and witches looking to recreate a completely magical experience.
Bookings are currently available from now till Tuesday 31 December only through The Windsor’s website at www.thehotelwindsor.com.au. Prices start from $699 for mid-week stays and $899 for stays on Friday and Saturday night for up to two guests. The Windsor is two minutes’ walk from the Princess Theatre and the most anticipated play of the year.
