The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and Thai Airways International (THAI) have unveiled their first joint campaign in 2019 called “ASEAN MaxiMICE” for MICE travellers from Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.http://www.stevecafeandcuisine.com/

This initiative follows a 58% growth in overall ASEAN MICE arrivals during 2018, and extends TCEB’s longstanding relationship with THAI, a key strategic industry partner, in delivering more value, more convenience and more privileges to MICE planners and delegates from Thailand’s top MICE markets.

Ms. Nooch Homrossukhon, TCEB’s Director of Meetings and Incentives Department, said: “The new ‘ASEAN MaxiMICE’ campaign with its enhanced suite of privileges is in line with TCEB’s policy of deepening stakeholder partnerships to help MICE planners achieve a better ROI and return on time that enables more rewarding experiences for delegates.

The “ASEAN MaxiMICE” campaign offers three tiers of privileges, by both TCEB and THAI. They include MICE Lane, meet-and-greet services, cultural performances, premium souvenirs, BTS Card for sky train travel, additional baggage allowance, pre-assigned group seating on flights, special on-board announcements and customised printed seat covers.

“ASEAN MaxiMICE” is open to groups of at least 40 persons who are arriving on a THAI flight and staying for at least two nights in Thailand. Application is open until August 31, 2019, for travel completed by October 31, 2019.

Mr. Siriphong Mangkalee, THAI’s Regional Director ASEAN, said a few years back, THAI collaborated with TCEB and launched a similar campaign which was very successful.

“After this success, we decided to collaborate with TCEB again and brain stormed the ‘MaxiMICE’ campaign for four ASEAN countries. Asia is currently the world’s fastest growing market for THAI, while the ASEAN market contributes to more than 50% of our overall revenue,” he said.

ASEAN’s four largest markets – Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore – collectively grew 30% and accounted for 68% of all ASEAN MICE travellers to Thailand. These four markets are also among Thailand’s top ten source markets for MICE in 2018.

Ms. Nooch added: “The ASEAN market continues to perform strongly, and with many new products and alternative destinations, we believe ASEAN visitors will continue to find Thailand an attractive and rewarding destination for meetings and incentives.”
