Arsenal player Danny Welbeck visited the Arsenal Soccer School Dubai (ASSD), providing young footballers an unforgettable training session as they learn to “play the Arsenal way.” This is Danny Welbeck’s second visit to the school, which comes as ASSD celebrates its 10th anniversary. Since 2009, the school has trained thousands of young footballers, and 13 Arsenal players have made their way to the school to offer training, guidance and inspiration both on and off the field.

“It’s great to be back visiting the Arsenal Soccer School here in Dubai for a second time, and to see the impact Arsenal and Emirates are having on young footballers. With the weather and facilitates here, it’s perfect to help continue with my rehabilitation programme,” he commented.

Aspiring young players were treated to an exclusive meet and greet session, received autographs and learned new skills and techniques as they pursued their football passions. Families and friends also had a chance to meet Welbeck, receive signed Arsenal jerseys and watch friendly games on the pitch.

Last year, Arsenal players Hector Bellerin, Calum Chambers and Rob Holding visited ASSD during weekend practice to impart their skills on the field.

Emirates and Arsenal launched the Arsenal Soccer School Dubai as a joint venture in 2009 with the aim of supporting the development of football as a sport in Dubai and across the UAE. Open to girls and boys of all ages, the school’s training programme is designed to nurture aspirational football players into professional athletes. ASSD offers students of all abilities a chance to expand and polish their skillset through exceptional training programmes and state of the art facilities.

Arsenal Soccer School Dubai is permanently based at the Sevens and is led by ex-Arsenal midfielder, Head Coach Ian Selley. For more information on ASSD and term registration, visit playthearsenalway.com.
