Marriott International, Inc., today announced the signing of Courtyard by Marriott Osaka Honmachi in Osaka’s central business district. Owned by Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Co., Ltd, rented and operated by Sun Frontier Fudousan Co., Ltd., a real estate company in Japan and Southeast Asia, the newly-built standalone hotel is expected to open in late 2019. This will be the second Courtyard by Marriott in Osaka following Courtyard by Marriott Shin Osaka Station which opened in 2015.

Courtyard by Marriott Osaka Honmachi will offer 193 stylish and relaxing guestrooms including two Suite rooms, providing guests the space and comfort to recharge throughout their stay. Fast and complimentary Wi-Fi and flexible workspaces will be pleasant for those traveling on business as well as guests who want to stay connected. The hotel features an all-day dining venue that features an open kitchen concept and serves both a tempting buffet and à-la-carte options. The venue is also accessible from the street, attracting a mix of guests and Osaka locals. Guests can also meet, mingle or unwind at the Lobby Bar.

The hotel’s other features will include a meeting room for both business and event use. A spacious fitness room lets guests stay active while on the road and a public bath enables guests to indulge into a relaxing experience after a long day.

Located in the Honmachi area facing the main street, Chuo Dori central boulevard, Courtyard by Marriott Osaka Honmachi is situated within a short, one-minute walking distance from Sakaisuji Honmachi Station. The 17-storey hotel also offers convenient access to various tourist attractions in Osaka including Semba Center Building containing more than 1,000 wholesalers, retail and dining facilities located in and around Shinsaibashi and Nagahoribashi areas. Other attractions including the historic Osaka Castle and Universal Studios Japan is all within easy access from the hotel.
