Franck Huang has been appointed head of development, China for Rosewood Hotel Group. He will lead the group’s development team in China and will be responsible for growing its presence. Across its three existing brands, Rosewood® Hotels & Resorts, New World™ Hotels & Resorts, penta®hotels, the group currently operates 14 hotels in both urban and resort locations in China with a robust pipeline coming up. The group has identified China as a key priority, and sees a strong market demand for its design and lifestyle-led proposition across its four brands, which also includes its latest business-lifestyle brand, KHOS™.

Mr. Huang brings with him 15 years’ experience in the luxury hospitality industry. Prior to joining Rosewood Hotel Group he worked for global top-tier luxury hotel brands including Accor, Starwood and, most recently, Marriott, where he was vice president of development, China at Marriott International. Previously, Mr. Huang held senior development roles at Starwood, where he was instrumental in growing the brands and building Starwood as the largest upper-upscale and luxury hotel group in China. In addition, he has spearheaded strategic partnerships with key clients and personally executed more than 100 deals for international hotel brands, such as St. Regis and W, and also signed the first Aloft in Asia Pacific. With his considerable luxury hotel experience, Mr. Huang will be able to lead Rosewood Hotel Group’s development team and further strengthen Rosewood’s presence across China.

A China native, Mr. Huang holds two bachelor degrees from the University of International Business and Economics Beijing and ESCE International Business School Paris, as well as a master degree in international real estate from Hong Kong Polytech University.
