The Murray, Hong Kong, a Niccolo Hotel, was named the top hotel in Hong Kong by readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine, announced Editor-in-Chief, Pilar Guzmán as a result of the 2018 annual Readers’ Choice Survey.

“This kind of win is virtually unheard-of for a new property like The Murray and represents the travel preferences of the 429,000 readers who voted in this year’s poll,” says Marcia Kline, Asia and Australia Travel Director, Condé Nast Traveler.

The Murray is a sophisticated contemporary chic 336-guestroom and suite hotel situated in a refurbished landmark building that formerly housed government offices; located in the heart of the Central business district and the green oasis of Hong Kong Park.  Among its unique features is Popinjays, a stunning rooftop bar with some of the most breathtaking views of the city. The hotel debuts four other world-class restaurants and bars, which showcase local and international flavours inspired by diverse culinary traditions as well as creative meeting and event spaces at venues such as the Niccolo Room or The Arches for up to 350 guests. Other facilities include an indoor lap-pool, spa and fully equipped gymnasium.

Welcoming guests only since 15 January 2018, The Murray is the first significant new luxury hotel to open in Hong Kong for several years and is a key component of the government’s Conserving Central project. In the short span of under a year, it has garnered much international acclaim. Other recent awards and accolades conferred upon the hotel include being listed by TIME Magazine as one of the World’s Greatest Places 2018, “City Slicker, Big Sleep Awards 2018” by National Geographic Traveller, “The 2018 Luxe List” by DestinAsian and “Best New Business Hotel in Asia” by Bloomberg.com.
