Leading tourism and transport operator, SeaLink Travel Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Donna Gauci in the newly created position of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
Ms Gauci has 34 years’ experience working in the travel, tourism and transport industry. For the past 13 years Ms Gauci has been employed with SeaLink Travel Group, first as General Manager for SeaLink New Zealand and since 2011, as General Manager for SeaLink South Australia.
According to Jeff Ellison, Chief Executive and Managing Director for SeaLink Travel Group, creating this national role is paramount to the future growth of SeaLink and appointing Ms Gauci to the position was an easy decision based on her past successes within the company.
“Our ‘One SeaLink’ strategy aims to build our current businesses and grow our group sales revenue. To ensure we can achieve these objectives, I decided to elevate our focus on sales and marketing by appointing Donna Gauci to the new position of Chief Marketing Officer.” Says Mr Ellison.
“Donna has extensive experience in leadership management and as a highly successful General Manager for SeaLink South Australia has the drive, knowledge and experience to do a tremendous job and help SeaLink Travel Group accomplish our One SeaLink’ objectives.” Continues Mr Ellison.
Reporting to Mr Ellison, Ms Gauci is responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the company’s marketing, advertising and communication strategies, sales management, new business development, product development, distribution channel management and customer service.
Ms Gauci said, “I am extremely excited to take on this new role. We have amazing businesses in nine locations around Australia and I’m enjoying working with all businesses as one team, to build our brand and grow our sales.”
