Set to invigorate the line-up of Sunday events, beachside Bintan estate, The Sanchaya, has launched Sanchaya Sundays where for the first time, guests are invited to experience the estate by day . The colonial-inspired property is perched on the sandy shores of the Indonesian island, within easy reach of Singapore; just 50 minutes away, the property is ideally placed to escape the city for a luxuriously leisurely end to the weekend.

The exclusive event takes place on the third Sunday of each month, opening up access to The Sanchaya’s world-class facilities, which are ordinarily reserved for residing guests only. Upon arrival at the estate, guests are invited to indulge in a culinary journey, complete with free flow rosé wine, beer, and soft drinks from 12-3:30pm. A DIY Pimms and Bloody Mary station will consist of a variety of garnishes and freshly squeezed tomato juice, inviting guests to mix their cocktails to their liking.

Encouraging guests to experience the space and mingle with each other, gourmet options will start in The The Decanter – the estate’s glass-walled wine and cheese room – and will include a live station with freshly carved Italian prosciutto di Parma, truffled Brie de meaux and Prawn Tortilla.

The à la carte highlights include Chili Soft Shell Crab – crab, onion, bell pepper, spicy chili sauce – Ravioli – ricotta ravioli, Bintan spinach, lobello sauce – and Beef Cheek, stewed with Barolo sauce whilst in The Bar, guests will be able to help themselves to an authentic Indonesian Noodle Station. For dessert, a range of fine cheeses, fresh strawberries dipped in melted Belgian chocolate, and a photo worthy Macaroon Tower will be arranged in The Bar, inviting guests once again to move around the space. The Sanchaya Sundays menu includes dishes signature to the Indonesian archipelago, whilst Chef Giacomo Turzo draws on his Italian heritage to offer decadent options sure to tantalise palettes. The offerings are designed to encourage social dining, with small dishes enabling guests to sample a variety of the fine dining offerings at the estate.

After lunch, guests will be invited to spend the afternoon enjoying the extensive facilities at The Sanchaya, which include a 50-metre long infinity pool, seaside cabanas, and a manicured lawn. Special touches include the provision of pool and beachside baskets, complete with sunscreen, water and snacks for guests to enjoy as they soak up the sunshine, and a selection of beanbags in The Sanchaya’s signature monochrome print which will be scattered outside The Bar, encouraging lazy afternoons at the estate.

Exclusively for Sanchaya Sundays guests , the estate will also be offering 15% discount on all hour-long spa treatments to guests wishing to indulge further. The Indonesian-inspired spa offers two treatment rooms and outdoor cabanas, with a bolstered menu incorporating organic, house-made scrubs and a range of rejuvenating treatments. Those looking for a more active afternoon will be delighted by The Sanchaya’s dynamic activity offerings, which include croquet and archery, and paddle boarding.
