The Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Grant Wilson to the AFTA Board of Directors.

In his capacity as Executive Manager with CT Partners, Grant will fill a casual vacancy on the Board and will stand for election at the 2019 AGM.

“CT Partners is a significant group of members in the Australian Travel Industry and the Board is delighted that Grant will join the Board to bring the views of the members of CT Partners and represent those views on the Board” said Jayson Westbury Chief Executive.

“While the member agents of CT Partners have been engaged as participants in the ATAS accreditation scheme and members of AFTA for many years, it is clear that this group with its broad cross section of members could further contribute to AFTA and the many issues faced by the industry, by holding a Board seat” said Westbury.

“I am really pleased to join the Board of AFTA and look forward to working with the Chief Executive, fellow Board members and the staff of AFTA to advocate for travel agents in the Australian Travel Industry” said Grant Wilson.

Ian Edwards, as General Manager of CT Partners will act as an alternate director to Grant Wilson.

AFTA continues to develop policies and advocate for many issues that impact upon travel agents in Australia and the Board remains totally committed to the ongoing successful future of travel agents for decades to come.

Grant will take up his position as a director with immediate effect and will join the Board at the next meeting scheduled for early December.
