Leading car rental company, Hertz Australia has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Netball Australia, the peak governing body for the sport of netball in the country.

The partnership with Netball Australia will see Hertz proudly sponsor the Samsung Australian Diamonds national team, the Suncorp Super Netball league and the Fast5 Netball World Series. Through the alliance, the Hertz brand will reach more than six million netball fans through stadium signage at televised matches, digital content, athlete appearances and event activations.

Netball Australia CEO, Marne Fechner said she was thrilled to welcome Hertz to the Netball Australia family.

“Hertz allows us to extend the reach of netball through new consumer and corporate channels, assisting in achieving our objectives of driving participation and growing interest in Suncorp Super Netball.

“Not only will this partnership position Hertz front and centre of our engaged audience, but also the car rental provider’s support will drive netball’s continued popularity as Australia’s leading team sport for girls and women.

“Participation, attendance and broadcast figures for netball continues to rise and is a valued proposition for both Hertz and Netball Australia,” Fechner said.

Hertz Australia Country Manager, Damien Shaw, said the Hertz team is excited to begin this new partnership with Netball Australia and support both Suncorp Super Netball and the Samsung Diamonds.

“We’re looking forward to fully embracing the sport from local club and school level, right up to professional league and flying the flag for women’s sport in Australia,” Shaw said.

The Diamonds, led by Head Coach Lisa Alexander, will next compete in the 2018 Quad Series and Constellation Cup this September and October in Australia and New Zealand.
