With a strong dedication to disrupting Macau’s traditional Art & Culture scene, the award-winning, forward-thinking, youth-empowering Chiu Yeng Culture (CYC), is eager to transform the city’s often-overlooked conversation from conservative to empowered, innovative, and collaborative by launching the third “Y Show” and “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” from 11th-14th October at the Regency Art Hotel Macau. With a mission to empower the city’s next generation of leaders, and ensure they have the opportunity to become changemakers, CYC is set to ignite and elevate what Macau’s creative scene has been missing by “Investing in Creativity”. The programs are deeply embed in social entrepreneurship to unlock Macau’s rising stars’ full potential. To create positive social change in both the local and global communities in which they work, CYC is ready to debut two refreshing art events and represent the New Vision of Art & Culture – it’s time to open the door for a breath of fresh air!

Founder and President of Chiu Yeng Cultural and Creative Industry Association, Sabrina Ho calls for her global vision of youth empowerment in more unprecedented ways than one“Partnership is the new leadership” said Ho. As one of the world’s youngest, only Chinese Strategic Partners of UNESCOpatron of the British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, and Member of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, she is eager to share her bold and daring vision: to reboot the city and redesign its ecosystem into a more dynamic cross-cultural exchange platform.

CYC is a product of revolutionary visionspassions and beliefs, as well as a place that is made by youth, for youth. In joining forces with a collaborative group of over 30 organizations, including the highly respected art authority, Poly Auction Macau Limited, CYC is unafraid of exploring the limitless possibilities of art by creating “Y Show” and “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” with co-founder Mr. Mann Lao to cultivate the development of local tourism, art and culture industries with a global vision, for a more empowered, thriving world.

Y SHOW 2018: Empowering the Students of Today to Create the World of Tomorrow

Following last year’s success of 3500 visitors, the unstoppable force of CYC’s dedication, creativity, and overall tenacious pursuit of game-changing insights continue to enable them to provide and cultivate a powerful platform for fresh design graduates to be empowered by enterprises. With 2018 as its third year, “Y Show” is proud to bring together five local institutions, six overseas exhibitors, and budding/established enterprises from different parts of the world to create a platform for accessible seminars, cultural exchanges, and employment opportunities. With initiatives like the“Innovative Entrepreneurship Award”, participants will be paired with an enterprise and produce a commercial product to promote their unique ideas of design and commercial integration. Through various programs, CYC encourages students of today to exchange ideas, foster and expand business opportunities, and enhance development to fully realize their talent and most importantly – to create the world of tomorrow, together.

6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair: A Groundbreaking Collision between Creativity and Hospitality

With a global pool of rising international stars – both artists & creative talents – ranging from Macau to Morocco, the third “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” is consistently challenging traditional preconceptions of mundane hotel rooms. By evolving the hotel’s temporary aesthetics with the visuals of art, 6075 aims to support the artists and idea-makers with their unforeseen visions. By transforming the hotel space into a creative space, 6075 features up-and-coming-talents and their works in each of the hotel rooms to entice visitors to experience an immersive art experience through the power of storytelling.

While collaborating with institutions to strengthen academic exchange in art and cultural industries, the show’s alluring features – the main “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” exhibition, the “Dr. Stanley Ho Foundation Art Award” and the Special Projects exhibition – create a joint initiative to equip young visionaries with the entrepreneurial and educational tools they need for future creative development. Under the creative and exhilarating direction of CYC, “Y Show” and “6075 Macau Hotel Art Fair” not only provide an invigorating opportunity of hope for grassroots, community-based artists and groups to participate in events of a larger scale, but also allow the creatives to embark on their journeys that create local impact on a global scale.
