The standard speed applied on the highway is 100km/h. Thus, it will take only 2.5 hours to travel from Hanoi to Halong, which is half of the time as before.
The new highway has completed after 3 years of construction. It consists of 19.8km of roads and 5.4km of Bach Dang Bridge. The starting point locates on Vietnam National Highway No.18 in Halong City and the ending point is at the intersection with the Hanoi – Haiphong Highway.
