Scotland-based travel technology specialist has been crowned Europe’s Leading Travel Technology Provider at the 25th Annual World Travel Awards 2018, prolonging its reign for a second year.
The red carpet gala evening took place at the historic Zappeion Megaron Hall in Athens and was attended by hundreds of the leading figures of Europe’s travel and tourism industry. Facing strong contenders such as CodeGen, Comtec Europe and Dolphin Dynamics, the team were hopeful to win the award for a second year running but were certainly not underestimating the stiff competition prior to the ceremony. Group Marketing Manager, Susie Lawler, and Events and Marketing Manager, Roisin Sweeney, represented Traveltek at the event and were delighted to come away with the title.
Susie described what the award means to the company: “We’re extremely honoured to receive this award. This is our second consecutive year of winning Europe’s Leading Travel Technology Provider and that is testament to the hard work and effort that the Traveltek team puts in day in, day out.

The award is one which will allow the company to further assert themselves as leaders in the field. In the post-award interview, Roisin described how Traveltek will be able to use this award to further market the company: “This is an extremely prestigious award to receive and we’ll be able to use it to further our Global Expansion Plan, instil confidence in our existing clients and positively influence prospective customers, not only in Europe but worldwide.
“Winning this award for a second year is a true endorsement of our continued commitment and success as a company and is a message that we’ll certainly be promoting.”
The expansion plan has thus far seen the company open offices in Sydney, Hyderabad, Hong Kong, Singapore and Dubai with additional offices set to open. In addition, the sales and delivery teams have been bolstered and there are some exciting new product announcements to be revealed soon, so the team is well on its way.
Traveltek has not only been recognised as leaders within Europe but also worldwide as the company has claimed the award for the World’s Leading Dynamic Packaging Solutions Provider for the last four years. This year’s World Travel Awards Grand Final Gala takes place in December in Lisbon, Portugal, where the team will be crossing its fingers for similar success.
